Class description:
Madi's contemporary class strives to create a space for joy and risk taking. It plays with finding momentum in movement, moving through the floor, and the interplay between tension and softness. The class opens with an improvisational warm-up, moving through planes, offering space for students to tap into their own artistic voice. Madison hones in on the felt experience and finds ways to follow our own sensation in the moment, as well as push outside of perceived limits. The class culminates in a longer piece of choreography, where dancers are encouraged to apply their own artistic voice to the material.
